Church Services

Our church has a variety of worship services, Bible studies, prayer meetings, and fellowship times. We seek to follow the pattern set forth in the early church, where it is said that they "continued steadfastly (devoted themselves) in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers" (Acts 2:42). As Christians we need a well-rounded church experience where we can learn together, worship together, pray together, fellowship together, and serve together. In short, these are God's appointed means whereby we will grow together!

And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ; that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting, but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head—Christ— from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love(Eph. 4:11-16).

Our Lord's Day Services

We have several different services on the Lord's Day. . .

Sunday School for all ages begins at 10:00 (nursery provided).
Our emphasis in Sunday school is upon the word of God.
The adult class is an in-depth study taken from the Bible,
although its content varies according to our church needs.
The children's class is a study taken from and based upon
the Bible, but is directed to their particular age and needs.

Morning Worship Service begins at 11:00 (nursery provided).
Our emphasis in worship is multifaceted, for we delight to
worship God in song; we gladly make our requests known
to Him through prayer; and we hunger and thirst for the
pure word of God to be preached and taught.

Evening Worship Service begins at 5:30 (nursery provided).
Our emphasis in this service is more directed to "body life"
ministry. We spend more time in corporate worship and prayer;
we share testimonies; and we have a devotional from the Word
of God. Much of the service is directed to the attention of our
children, for we want them to feel included in the worship of God.

Our Mid-Week Bible Study

One of the highlights of our ministry is our mid-week in-depth Bible study taught by Pastor Rich Goswiller. We meet at our church building at 7:30 and conclude the study at 9:00; but that is followed by a time of light refreshments and fellowship. Although the study is predominantly the teaching of Pastor Rich, ample time is given throughout the course of the study for comments and questions from the students.

In recent years we have covered such topics as The Attributes of God; The Person and Work of Christ; The Person and Work of the Holy Spirit; The Life of Jesus Christ; A Survey of Church History; The Principles of Biblical Interpretation; Holiness to the Lord: A Serious Call to a Devout and Holy Life; etc. We are currently conducting a study called The Farewell Discourse of Jesus (John 13-17). There are several attending this study from other churches and it is open to the general community as well.
